How the competition works
Weekly format
Every week a new challenge goes live — a different mode, duration, and difficulty. The format changes each week so every typist has a fair shot.
How to enter
No sign-up required to compete — just set your test to match the week's format and type. Your best score in that format during the competition window counts automatically.
Rankings & prizes
The top typists each week are listed on the competition leaderboard. The winner is determined by highest WPM with at least 95% accuracy.
Competition Rules
- One account per person.
- Only scores from the current competition week are counted.
- Results with WPM above human limits are automatically flagged and excluded — see how validation works.
- The competition mode is 1-minute / words mode for a consistent comparison.
- Winners are announced at the end of each week on the leaderboard.
Who Can Enter
Anyone with a free TypingTest.now account can enter. No special registration is needed — just take the 1-minute test while logged in and your score is recorded. Your highest score for the week counts, not your most recent. See the full competition rules for details.
Fair Play
TypingTest.now uses keystroke timing analysis to detect automated or assisted scores. Any result that appears non-human is flagged and removed from the competition. Read more about how leaderboard validation works. We aim to keep the competition fair for legitimate typists at all skill levels.
