How to Get the Most from This Test

This is the milestone test. 1,000 characters is the first major benchmark for serious typists. Completing it at your target WPM with high accuracy confirms your technique is genuinely solid.

Compare your start and finish speed. After the test, estimate whether your final 50 words felt as fast as your first 50. If the answer is no, endurance is your current growth edge.

Don't rush to this test too early. If your 500-character WPM and your 1,000-character WPM differ by more than 15%, build endurance at shorter lengths before committing to 1,000-character training.

One attempt per session is enough. A 1,000-character test at full effort is tiring. Take one serious attempt, review your performance, then use shorter tests for the rest of the session.
