About the Weekly Leaderboard
The weekly leaderboard shows the top WPM scores submitted during the current week. Rankings reset every Monday at midnight UTC, giving every typist a fresh start regardless of all-time scores. If you've ever wanted to compete for the top spot without going up against typists who've been practising for years, the weekly board is where to start.
Weekly vs All-Time
The all-time board rewards peak performance built up over months. The weekly board rewards recent performance — consistent practice and hitting your best score within the current window. A typist who peaked at 120 WPM two years ago will not appear on this week's board unless they're still actively testing.
Weekly Competition Link
The weekly typing competition uses a specific format each week. The weekly leaderboard tracks best scores across all formats. They're separate but complementary — winning the competition requires beating everyone on a fixed format, while the weekly board rewards your best score on any format.
How to Maximise Your Weekly Rank
The reset happens Monday at midnight UTC. The most active period is Friday–Sunday when typists push for last-minute improvements. Taking the 15-second test repeatedly in a session often produces your best score within the first 10–15 attempts as your fingers warm up and focus peaks.
Leaderboard FAQs
How is anti-cheat filtering done?
Every keystroke is timestamped during a test. After submission, the timing data is analysed for patterns that are statistically impossible for human typing — uniform inter-key intervals, impossibly fast sequences, or distributions inconsistent with the claimed WPM. Flagged results are excluded from rankings automatically.
Can guests appear on the leaderboard?
No. Only scores from registered accounts are saved and ranked. Create a free account to have your scores saved and eligible for the leaderboard.
How often do leaderboard positions update?
Positions update in real time after each verified submission. If you set a new personal best, it appears on the board immediately after the result is saved.
