Competition Rules
How the weekly typing competition works and what's allowed.
Eligibility
- You must have a registered account to enter. Registration is free.
- One account per person. Multiple accounts will be disqualified.
- No age or location restrictions.
How Scores Are Submitted
When you complete a typing test while logged in, your result is automatically saved. Your highest net WPM score during the competition week is your standing entry. You can retake the 1-minute test as many times as you like — only your best result counts.
Score Validation
Our anti-cheat system analyses keystroke timing patterns. Results with:
- WPM above documented human records (250+ WPM)
- Implausibly uniform keystroke timing (indicating automated input)
- Perfect accuracy at high speed (statistically improbable for humans)
...are flagged and excluded from competition rankings. Read the full technical explanation in how leaderboard validation works. Flagged results can be appealed via the contact form.
Competition Format
The weekly competition uses the 1-minute words mode (no modifiers) for consistency. This allows fair comparison across all participants regardless of which mode they normally prefer. Check the competition hub for current standings.
Results and Winners
The top 10 finishers are listed on the weekly leaderboard at the end of the competition period (Sunday 23:59 UTC). Results become permanent in the competition archive.
